About Honest App Report
Who owns this site, what that means for the reports you read here, and how to reach us.
Honest App Report publishes structured, plain-language reports on apps and Meta Quest games. Every report tries to answer the same question, is it worth it?, using the same checklist: what you get, what it costs, who it suits, who should skip it, pros and cons, and real alternatives.
Who owns this site (please read this first)
Honest App Report launched in 2026. The company that owns and publishes it also develops or publishes and sells several of the products we report on (who that company is, with full contact details, is in our legal notice):
- LingFit (iOS & Android)
- MindIsland (iOS & Android)
- Laser Thief (Meta Quest)
- Haunted: Are You Alone? (Meta Quest)
- Tank Avenger – Mixed Reality (Meta Quest)
- Sozo – Tower Defense (Meta Quest)
That means:
- Reports about these products are not independent tests. They are written by the company that makes them, and any score on them is marked as the publisher’s opinion.
- We benefit commercially if you download or subscribe to these products.
- The name is a promise about how we write, not a claim of independence. We try to be honest in the way we write: we always list cons, we state the criteria we use, we give real prices with dates, and we tell you who should skip a product, including our own. But you should weigh our reports about our own products accordingly, and compare them with independent sources such as app-store reviews and independent publications.

What we don’t do
- No user reviews, testimonials or quotes that we made up. No invented testers, test labs or panels.
- No paid placements from other companies and no affiliate links, unless a link is clearly marked.
- No trackers, analytics or advertising on this site.
Who writes the reports
Reports are written and checked by our publisher’s editorial team and published under the byline “Honest App Report Editors”. We do not use invented author personas.
Corrections
If a fact, price or feature in a report is wrong or out of date, email [email protected]. We will check it, fix it and update the “last checked” date.
